Learn about Appraisals

Our GIA Graduate Gemologist, Mary Leigh, is happy to assist you with all of your appraisal needs.  Appraisals are necessary for getting your jewelry properly insured.  We recommend getting your jewelry appraised every 3-5 years in order to keep it with the current market value.

Appraisals are completed in our store and include a certified, signed document of your jewelry's current retail replacement value, a photograph of your jewelry, and all of the specifics on your jewelry's metal and stone characteristics.

Appraisals are $95 for the first appraised piece of jewelry. Each additional appraised piece of jewelry is $70 (or $60 if the jewelry doesn't contain any stones).

Appointments are not required, you may come in anytime during our store hours to drop your items off and we can let you know at that time when we expect them to be ready for you to pick up--usually about a week.  

If you would like to have your appraisals done the same day or while you wait, you may schedule an appointment on our website or call us at 435-673-2471 and ask to schedule a time for your appraisals with Mary Leigh.  Appraisals are $125 each when done on the same-day or while you wait.

We highly recommend having your jewelry polished and refinished back to its factory specs while it is with us so we can make it in like-new condition.  We give a discount on any polishing or repairs being done to your jewelry while we appraise it.
